 Public Talk
The Healing Buddha Path
The Power of Compassion in Medicine and Therapy

"The purpose is to investigate how to combine compassion with the art of healing. How can we best combine these two factors, and what would be the value of doing so? Compassion is an attitude, a way of approaching the needs of others. People develop many different attitudes in their lives, but the attitude that we call compassion is the most noble and the most helpful for others. The fact that compassion is important is commonly accepted. Affirming the value of compassion has little to do with whether you consider yourself spiritual, or whether you choose to follow,or not, any particular religion."
Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche

 Practice Sessions
The Path of Great Compassion - The Chenrezig Meditation
 08 to 14 of May 2013, 06h30 am – 07h30 am

"The essence of the mind of all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas is bodhichitta, the awakened mind. When this bodhichitta assumes a form, it appears as Chenrezig, Avalokitesvara.
Whenever we practice Avalokiteshvara, the most important aspect is the practice of generating and developing bodhichitta, which is the experience of compassion that Avalokiteshvara has towards all sentient beings. So, if we also we generate the same compassion, the same awakened mind, it will be very easy for us to accomplish Avalokiteshvara, because the essence of Avalokiteshvara is bodhichitta. Thus, the blessings and the results will be very fast."
Venerable Yangthang Rinpoche

 Teaching Course
The Great Bliss Path - The Alchemy of Desire
Introduction to Buddhist Tantra - Level 1

This course aims to clarify, to practitioners and to beginners as well, the often misunderstood world of Buddhist Tantra. Although Tantra is considered in the Tibetan Tradition the deepest and most advanced of all the Buddhist Teachings, its central message is simple and clear and extremely relevant to the modern life of the XXI century.
The Teachings of the Buddha known in Sanskrit as Dharma, which frees us from suffering and its causes, contains innumerable methods to overcome all obstacles to our happiness and well-being, all these fit into two categories: the Sutra and Tantra. There are differences between these two vehicles, or Yanas, but the common base to both is the pure nature of mind.
***
"There is no reason to feel guilty about pleasure, it is as wrong as the attachment to the pleasures and expect this will bring us full satisfaction. In fact, this is just another form of grasping, is just another way wich we block and turnin in to a limited view of who we are and what we can become ... Through its deep processing methods, Tantra shows that as humans we have the ability to enjoy boundless happiness and ecstatic at the same time remain free from the illusions that usually contaminate our pursuit of pleasure. "
***
«According to Tantra, perfection is not something we expect sometime in the future. "If I practice hard this life maybe I will become a perfect Buddha" or "If I behave and act properly in this life as a religious person, maybe someday I'll go to heaven." According to Tantra, heaven is here and now! "
***
«What is the basis of our problems? ... The common conception about us, others and the world. This is what we need to purify; Tantra tells us that all beings have a quality truly divine. The essence of every being, the essential nature of each person, is something divine, something pure. To realize this, to make this statement part of our life and not a mere intellectualization, it is necessary to practice the generation stage, emanate up powerfully as a deity, one's Yidam. »

Teaching on Why Me?
Why bad Things Happen to Good People?

Bad Things Happen to Good People? At some point of our life, we will ask ourselves: Why me? I have done nothing wrong……

Learning how to work with life problems is the key of Buddhist practice. The Buddha observed that we create the problems we experience it and its possible to transform even the worst difficulties into happiness, by transforming our attitudes toward them.

Lama Gyurme lays out a very practical approach to the problems we experience in everyday life.

Teaching on Brave Heart
The Peaceful Warrior

It's easy to become overwhelmed by the suffering of the world, to despair that there is little we can do to help. But it's possible to develop a Brave Heart with huge compassion: the enthusiasm and confidence to never give up working to help others. The key is to develop wisdom: to understand our own suffering and how to overcome it.

As His Holiness the Dalai Lama says, "Compassion on its own is not enough: we need wisdom."

Public Talk: The Freedom beyond Fears and Hopes

Our mind has a powerful ability to create tremendous suffering, as well as the potential to experience the true liberation. In this teaching, Lama Gyurme gives us ways to train and free our minds through the practice of equanimity with humour.
Lama Gyurme will points out hoe we first trap ourselves in our concepts of good and bad, then ensnare ourselves further by acting on our reactions of attachment and aversion. Lama Gyurme teaches that by resting in mind’s pure nature, we can free ourselves of these distinctions and experience the peace of real equanimity.

In fact Buddha never taught any religion or belief system, never wanted to teach a philosophy, not even to create an institution.
If Buddhism is not a religion, is not a belief, not a philosophy or a eastern culture, is not Tibetan, Indian, Thai and do not belong to any particular country or people; what it means to be a Buddhist.
